Dr. A. A. Overton passed away Friday at his home. His death was a result of paralysis & old age. He has been quite feeble for sometime. A stroke of paralysis about 3 weeks before his death proved too much for his advanced age.

He was a son of Susanna Alexander & Jesse Overton. He was married to Elizabeth Ardis Pace 17 Nov 1851. He leaves a widow & 8 children. He was the father of Dr. R. C. Overton of Shoal Creek.
