Inscription: “Sister - Wife of L.C.”
Researchers say she was the daughter of Christian Sharp and Jane Owens. Celia/Sela Sharp married Lewis C. Grimes on December 5, 1854 in Claiborne County, MO. Their daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Grimes married John E. Putman, both buried at Bethel Jolly Cemetery. Sarah’s death certificate names her father as L.C. Grimes and mother’s maiden name as Sharp.
