Cleora Ruth Meier, 81, of Monett entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 26, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. She was born on January 23, 1932 in Cassville, MO. the daughter of the late Manford and Dorothy (Moudy) Terry. She worked at J and J Floor Covering in Monett, was a member of the New Life Free Will Baptist Church in Monett, played the piano in the church for over 60 years, and taught cake decorating. Ruth is survived by one son, Billy Meier, Poteau, Okla.; one daughter, Judy Davis, Purdy; two brothers, Everett Terry, Purdy and Jim Terry, Monett; one sister, Rosellie VanSandt, Purdy; and five grandchildren.
Visitation for Ruth is being held Wednesday, May 29, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, MO. Funeral services are being held Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 10:30 am. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel in Monett with Rev. Larry Wormington officiating. Burial will follow services at Log Cemetery near Butterfield, MO. Memorial donations for Ruth may be made to the New Life Free Will Baptist Church in Monett or the Log Cemetery Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are under the care of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, MO.
