Dortha passed away Wednesday at South Barry County Hospital after a long illness. Dortha received a bachelor’s degree in education from SW MO State University. She was a charter member of Kappa Delta Phi, Delta Kappa Gamma, a 30 year member of the Missouri State Teacher’s Association plus a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. She was a retired school teacher. On December 26, 1948 Dortha and Leonard were married. To this union 6 children were born: Lynna, David, Richard, Timothy, Steven,and Sarah. Additional survivors include brothers Arthur, and Lewis, 8 grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews, plus a host of other relatives and friends. Dortha will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Milford Baker and Leon Riddle conducted the services.
