Peggy Gorton, age 87, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Monday, July 23, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was born June 30, 1931 in Cassville, Missouri, the daughter of Dewey and Viola (Gaige) Hankins. She was united in marriage to Tim Sullivan, who preceded her in death. Later she married Johnny Gorton, who also passed away. Others preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters, Majorie Boyson and Fleta Mae Seely.
Surviving are one daughter, Connie Brenner of Los Angeles, California and many nieces and nephews. Peggy grew up and received her education in Cassville where she graduated from high school. At the age of eighteen she moved to Kansas City, Missouri and then Chicago, Illinois and Los Angeles, California. Thirty years ago she moved back to Cassville and received her Missouri real estate license and sold property for several years. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Antioch Cemetery in Cassville under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Jake Kloss will conduct the services.
