Bertha Caroline Sullivan was born March 1, 1900, near Monett, Missouri, and died Monday, September 28, Age 31 years, 6 months, and 28 days. She was united in marriage to Carl Birkes of Exeter, MO., February 25, 1921. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, two daughters, Christine and Lavelle, one daughter Magdaline, having preceded her in death, her father, mother, two brothers, Orville and Raymond of Butterfield, and one sister, Ollie Graves of Rocky Comfort besides a host of other relatives and friends. She was converted at the age of 15 and lived a loving useful life. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 2 o’clock at the Ridgley Baptist Church by Rev. Chas. McNabb. Burial was made in the Concord Cemetery under the direction of Pogue’s Undertaking Company.
