Emily, Daughter of J. D. and Mary M. Wooten, died November 5, age 18 years 7 months and 20 days. She professed faith in Christ October 1890 and joined the M. E. Church South in March 1801 in which she lived faithfully until death. Her remains were followed by the bereft family and her many sorrowing friends to Concord where her funeral was preached by Rev. H. Pinkston, from Amos v8 and Deut. xii 9, after which her body was interred in the Concord Cemetery. As we looked at the lifeless from during the service in the same alter where she was converted, we wept; but not as those who have no hope, for all felt that her rest was not here but yonder.
