Cassville Democrat, December 9, 2010 - Helen Ennis, 72, of Cassville, passed away Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, in Barry County Care Center, Cassville. She was born Nov. 20, 1938, in Granby, the daughter of Lawrence T. "Bonnie" and Hazel (Clevenger) Mattingly. On April 9, 1955, in Washburn, she was united in marriage to Marvin Ennis. Additional survivors include: three sons; one daughter; two brothers; one sister; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter, Marcia Weaver; and one brother, Maxie Mattingly. She received her education at Exeter. She was a homemaker and was an active member of Bridgeway Assembly of God Church, Shell Knob. Funeral services were held Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Lonnie Stockton conducted the services. Burial was at Ennis Cemetery, Cassville. Contributions may be made to Bridgeway Assembly of God Church in her memory.

Marvin - He was the son of Olan and Janie (Wilson) Ennis. He was a 1953 Cassville High School graduate. On April 9, 1955, he was united in marriage to Helen Mattingly; she preceded him in death in December 2010. Mr. Ennis had a love and passion for the Lord and became a minister for the Assembly of God churches; he was a member of the Bridgeway Assembly of God in Shell Knob. Mr. Ennis enjoyed reading and farming. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Marcia Ennis, and two brothers, Loye Gene Ennis and Larry Ennis.
