Aug. 25, 1953, Carthage Evening Press - RETIRED FARMER PASSES AWAY AT THE HOME OF DAUGHTER - Funeral services probably will be held Thursday for LeRoy Richard Taylor a resident of Webb City for 32 years who died yesterday at home of a daughter, Mrs. Paulina Lansdown of Belmont Station, west of Carthage. Mr Taylor, a retired farmer, had lived at the home of his daughter since the death of his 2nd wife, Mrs Emma Taylor, last April. Surviving him are children: Mrs. Paulina Lansdown, Mrs. Mabel Simpson of Purdy, Mrs. Nellie Swager of Carterville, Mrs. Lenora Sours of Darlington WI, Harvey Taylor of Ontario CA, and Joe Taylor of Racine WI; stepchildren: Robert Williams of Webb City, John D. Vaught of Bakersfield, CA, Elmer Anderson of Verdon, OK, Mrs. Florence Williams of Standford, TX, Mrs Laura Hattery of Webb City, and Mrs Thelma Gilispy of Chickasha OK; siblings: Mrs. Sarah Burkes of Miller Grove, TX, Mrs. Emma King of Galena, KS, Ed Taylor of Sarcoxie and Grant Taylor of Columbus KS; 21 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
