Ola E. Hawkins, age 98, of Riggins, Idaho passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018. She was born December 29, 1919 in Faxon, Oklahoma to Sidney and Ethel (Sechrist) Rainey.
As a child, Ola first moved with her family by covered wagon from Oklahoma to Howell County. Ola lived a full, adventurous life, growing up in Missouri. She married Charles Jones March 15, 1948. Together they raised a son, Wesley Ray Jones & Daughter to Ola, Emily Swope (Shorty) until Charles’ death in 1967. Ola’s most challenging experience was the move to Idaho after marrying George Hawkins in 1969. She loved living on the the Salmon River, fishing, doing her needlework and sewing. Ola returned to Missouri in 2014 to finish her life with her son; five grandchildren; and great grandchildren.
Burial will be at 1:00 PM Monday, September 24, 2018 at Howell County Memorial Park Cemetery, Pomona, MO.
