Funeral services for Lola Jane Collins, 90, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2017 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Collins passed away at 7:05 p.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at NHC Healthcare.
She was born March 13, 1926, at Dora, Missouri, to Lee John Thompson and Elma Erma White Thompson. Lola graduated from Dora High School with the Class of 1944 and on November 20, 1948, she was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Arlin Roe Collins, who preceded her in death February 9, 2003. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and push mowing her yard.
She is survived by six children, Jearld Collins and wife, Vivian, Stanley Collins and friend, Rita, Diana Carter and husband, Larry, David Collins and wife, Deann, Anna Smith and husband, Don and Jeannette Center and husband, Harold; fourteen grandchildren, Deanna Hewett, Darla Gregory, Valerie Hockstedler, Debbie Strong, Andrea Scherff, Angie Falwell, Jared Collins, Kevin Collins, Kim Collins, Stephanie Minge, Weston Carter, Joey Collins, Christina and LeeAnn; twenty-six great-grandchildren; sixteen great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, one grandson, Keith Collins, one brother, John Thompson and two sisters, Ruby Lovins and Laura Thompson, precede her in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the NHC Healthcare Activities Fund and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
