SELIGMAN, Mo. — Don Douglas McCasland Sr., 76. of Seligman died Dec. 16, 2002, at Red Rose Inn in Cassville, Mo. He was born Dec. 26, 1925, in Mountain View, Okla., to Edgar and Louise Phelps McCasland. He grew up and attended school in Oklahoma. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific with the Army Engineers. He moved to Seligman in 1975 and was a heavy-equipment operator. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seligman for 27 years. He married Nadine Coon on Aug. 8, 1946. He enjoyed snorkeling and spear fishing as well as shop work.

Survivors include his wife, Nadine of the home; two sons, Don Douglas McCasland Jr. and wife Gina of Sun City, Calif., and Doug McCasland and wife Sheila of Seligman; one daughter, Teresa Jo Peck and husband Butch of Paducah, Ky.; two brothers, Burl McCasland and Leon "Skip" McCasland, both of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three sisters, Norma Jo Slater of Oklahoma City and Neva Williams and Wanda Knox, both of Marlow, Okla.; 15 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Seligman with the Rev. Bob Scott and the Rev. Bob Neeley officiating.

Arrangements are by Williamson Funeral Home in Cassville.

Burial with military honors will be at Seligman Cemetery.
