Donald Dean Hatton, a resident of Willow Springs, passed away March 27, 2019 while at his residence. Born August 2, 1954 to John and Nadine (Fredrick) Hatton in San Diego, CA; he was 64 years old.
Donald grew up in the San Diego area and attended Helix Charter High School. After moving to Missouri, he worked in the sawmill business for 10 years. He then obtained his Emergency Medical Technician license and went on to get his Paramedic License. As a Paramedic, he worked for the Gainesville, MO Ambulance District and later the South Howell County Ambulance District in West Plains until his retirement in 2011. He married Sally (Wood) Hatton in Willow Springs on November 22, 1986. Donald had many interests in life; he loved gardening, taking care of his dogs, and playing video games. However, his favorite times were spent woodworking in his shop. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Sally L. Hatton; his mother, Nadine Hatton-King; his step-dad, Larry King; and a brother, Dennis Hatton.
Donald is survived by his son, Lance Wood and his wife, Stacy of Nixa, MO; his brother, Kim Hatton and his wife, Connie of Rogers, AR; his brother-in-law, Kenneth Wood of Willow Springs; his sister-in-law, Renee` Wood, also of Willow Springs; Rene` Wolfel of Springfield and Elizabeth Hykes of Willow Springs, both of the family. Further survivors include two granddaughters, Ashley & Taylor Sloan of Nixa.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 1, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Willow Springs City Cemetery with Elizabeth Hykes officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Willow Funeral Home, LLC. On-line condolences may be left at www.willowspringsfuneralhome.com
