ASHBURY HUTCHENS
---A. Hutchens, a well-known and highly respected citizen of La Plata, died at his home here this morning at 3:25, after an illness of several weeks. At the time of his death he was nearing seventy-five and he had lived in La Plata for a number of years, moving here form his farm east of La Plata, retiring from the farm duties and his many friends will be grieved to learn of his death.
---He was taken to Moberly a short time ago for an operation and the physicians pronounced his case as too serious for an operation to be of any aid and he was brought back to his home here last week.
---Mr. Hutchens is survived by his widow, one son and three daughters, Ed Hutchens of Nebraska, Mrs. Richard Ashby, Mrs. Zack Shouse of La Plata and Miss Lou Hutchens of the home.
