Clinton V. Barnhart, 71, of 421 Spruce died Wednesday morning at 2:38 in Blessing Hospital where he had been a patient five days.
Mr. Barnhart was born in Brashear, Missouri, March 14, 1894, a son of Henry H. and Olivia L. Moore Barnhart. On May 3, 1916 he married Neva J. Johnston in Brashear. He was purchasing agent for the Dayton-Dowd comany here for 28 years. He was a member of Grace Methodist Church and last May became a 50-year member of Paulville Lodge No. 319, A.F. & A.M. at Hurdland, Missouri.
Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Eldon (gwenavere) Frame of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Mrs. John (Virgene) Sorenson of Jamestown, North Dakota; a sister, Mrs. Cleone Goudy of Pueblo, Colorado and five grandchildren. A sister, Idena, preceded him in death.

Neva J. Barnhart, 82, of 421 Spruce, was found dead in her home Wednesday afternoon by a cousin. The body was lying on the kitchen floor near a chair.
A neighbor had called the cousin when she couldn't reach Mrs. Barnhart by phone.
Adams County Coroner Wayne Johnson said Mrs. Barnhart had been under a doctor's care and said that the death was due to natural causes. He said she probably died Tuesday night.
Zehender Robinson Stormer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Neva J. Barnhart, 82, of 421 Spruce, died at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday (April 11, 1978) in her home.
Mrs. Barnhart was born October 12, 1895 in Brashear, Missouri, a daughter of John Harvey and Ada Morrow Johnston. She was married to Clinton V. Barnhart May 3, 1916, in Brashear. He died July 7, 1965. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and served as choir director for many years. She taught piano for 66 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John (Virgene) Sorenson of Jacksonville, and Mrs. Eldon (Gwenavere) Frame of Albequerque, NM; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Zehender Robinson Stormer Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. David Ericson. Burial will be in the Brashear Cemetery, Brashear, Missouri.
The family suggests memorials be made to Grace United Methodist Church.
