RICHARD BURRIS
Richard Burris, 57 of Brookfield, formerly of Bucklin, died Wednesday morning, Nov. 9, 2005 at his home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005 at Delaney Funeral Home in Marceline. Burial will be in High Hill Cemetery, near Bucklin.
Richard was born Feb. 13, 1948 in Bucklin, a son of Ralph and Eva Mae (Holt) Burris. He married Jeanne Kay Hodgerson on Apr. 12, 1967.
Richard was a truck driver and had worked at a sawmill. He was a member of the Bucklin Christian Church and had lived in Brookfield the past two months. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne of the home; a daughter, Rogenia Burris of Brookfield; his mother-in-law, Catherine Hodgerson of Jefferson City; a granddaughter, Cheyenne Burris of Brookfield; a brother, Harold Burris of Iowa City, Iowa; two sisters, Brenda Allen and Patricia Deatsch of Iowa City, Iowa; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bernie and Carol Hodgerson of Montgomery City, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
