Elmer L. "Babe" Weatherman, 94, of Spokane, died at 4:15 p.m. Thursday, April 20, in Mercy Villa, Springfield. He was a retired farmer and lifelong resident of the Walnut Shade and Spokane area, Mr. Weatherman was a member of the Pleasant Shade Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Duffie Ellen; three daughters, Mrs. Freeda Bilyeu, Nixa, Mrs. Opal Llewellyn, Sunland, Calif. and Mrs. Muriel Bilyeu, Ozark; five sons, Lawrence Weatherman and Fred Weatherman of Springfield, Norman Weatherman of Spokane, Harold Weatherman of Oroville, Calif. and Roscoe Weatherman of Galena; and 17 grandchildren. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday in Harris Chapel, Ozark, with the Rev. George Bishop officiating. Burial was in Walnut Shade Cemetery.
