Mrs. Johnny Bolton Funeral Here Sunday

Funeral services for Mrs. Johnny (Lola F.) Bolton, 53, of 403 S. Cottage Grove, will be held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock in the Faith Lutheran Church. The Rev. Mark Appold, pastor of the church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Highland Park cemetery.

The body is at the Jackson Dee Riley Funeral Home where it will remain until noon Sunday when it will be taken to the church. The casket will be closed at the funeral hour and not reopened.

Mrs. Bolton died Thursday morning at 8:45 in a hospital in Columbia following an illness of two months.

The daughter of Tom and Beatrice (Hines) Eichorn, she was born July 21, 1917, in Ursa, Ill. On Sept. 19, 1940, in Kirksville, she was married to John Bolton who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Karen Bolton of the home and Mrs. Rex F. (Janice) Meneely of Erie, Pa.; three grandchildren, Timothy, 9½, Leslie Ann, 7½, and Christopher Paul, 4, and her stepmother, Bertha Eichorn of 411 E. Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Bolton moved as a small child with her family to Adair county and received her education in the Bullion and Kirksville schools. She was employed in the father's grocery store until it sold. She and her husband have owned and operated the Tastee Freeze, now the Snack Palace, since 1954.

She was an active member of the Faith Lutheran Church where she served as organist for nearly 20 years. She was also a member of a Wednesday morning bowling team.

Bearers will be Riley Watts, Jack Shelton, Frank Reesman, Fred Dasse, Earnest Klokkenga and Adelbert Troester.
