Neoma Crouse, 76, died peacefully and surrounded by her family, Dec. 12, 2018, in Milton, Fla.
She was born July 5, 1942, in Koshkonong, Mo., to William Beryl and Maxine Dills. Neoma graduated high school in 1960 in Peoria, Ill., and later met the love of her life, Charles L. Crouse, whom she married on April 1, 1961.
The couple raised their two children, Charlie and Cheri, in West Plains and later moved to Cloud 9 Ranch were they treasured spending time outdoors, fishing and camping with family.
She loved to bowl and was a devoted team member for many years in both West Plains and Mtn. View bowling leagues. After Chuck’s passing in 2002, she moved to Mtn. View, Mo., where she spent her time caring for her mother, traveling and spoiling her grandkids. She loved her family and cherished her role as Nana to her five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was a kind and generous woman, a loyal sister and friend, and irreplaceable to those that knew and loved her.
Neoma is preceded in death by her parents William Beryl and Maxine, and husband Chuck Crouse. She is survived in death by her two children, Charles L. Crouse Jr. and wife Suzan of Milton, Fla., and Cheri Brooks and husband Jim of Republic, Mo. She also leaves behind her two sisters, Leona Kuykendall and Linda Lunn, her grandchildren Jessica (husband Toby), Taylor (wife Caty), Hunter, Mariah, and Chaz (wife Jessica) and six great-grandchildren, Jayke, Cody, Braylon, Abbie Jo, Annah-Lysa and Nikolas.
There will be a small family gathering at the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery at 11 a.m. June 8 at for anyone who would like to join. In lieu of flowers, Neoma would have wanted any memorial donations to be made to the United Cerebral Palsy Organization https://www.ucp.org.
