Holland HOLLAND

Barclay aka Barkley (Defunct) Cemetery
Benton County,
Missouri

Known burials that were not moved with the flooded the area to form Truman Lake because they were unable to locate the cemetery and made several attempts.

Tract No. 901 = Alexander Township in Benton County

Barclay aka Barkley, Cemetery was a family plot of four to seven graves: Joseph Barclay, John Holland, two Holland infants, and possibly three additional individuals. The cemetery was originally part of Plan B, but was deleted from the plan in May 1973. Relatives requested that the graves be moved to Shiloh Cemetery near Bentonville, Benton County. However, the Corps made three trips to the area – with relatives – and was never able to locate the graves.
