Elmer Tiemeyer, age 89, of Meadville, died Sunday, June 3, 2018, at his home.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 7, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Meadville. Burial will be in Wheeling Cemetery in Wheeling. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 6, 2018, beginning at 1:00 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 in the evening at Wright Funeral Home in Brookfield.

Memorials to Meadville United Methodist Church or Wheeling Cemetery may be left at or mailed to Wright Funeral Home, P.O. Box 496, Brookfield, Missouri, 64628.

Elmer Earl, son of George and Viola (Watson) Tiemeyer, was born January 27, 1929, in Livingston County, near Wheeling. On June 9, 1952, he married Julia Timmons.

Elmer was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Meadville United Methodist Church.

He was a Veteran of the US Army, a member of the VFW Post #4557 in Brookfield, and a past member of the Meadville School Board serving for six years.

Survivors include his wife Julia of the home; two daughters, Teresa Miller and husband, Bob of Keytesville and Jolene Stubblefield and husband, Jeff of Marshall; three granddaughters, Andrea McPherson and husband, Tim of Glenwood, Iowa, Melanie Hunt and husband, Shea of Prosper, Texas, and Julia Henggeler and husband, Michael of Stanberry; one brother, Alvin Tiemeyer and wife, Madonna of Meadville; and six great-grandchildren, Aaron McPherson, Brayden McPherson, Landon Hunt, Jamison Hunt, Jared Henggeler, and Lauren Henggeler.

His parents; and one grandson, Jared Stubblefield preceded him in death.
