Lillie Frances Tiemeyer, 96, died on Monday, May 7, 2018 at her home at Royal View Retirement Center in Mecosta, Michigan.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Meadville United Methodist Church in Meadville, Missouri. Burial will be in the Wheeling Cemetery in Wheeling. Memorials are suggested to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation-Caitlyn’s Cure Team in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater, Missouri.
Born May 6, 1922 in Brunswick, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Brian E. and Tassie Mieries Tillett. On November 16, 1940, she married Herman William Tiemeyer, and he preceded her in death in August of 1990.
She is survived by her daughter, Diana Kennedy and husband William of Rodney, Michigan; five grandchildren, Melissa Christiano and her husband Bob of South Bend, Indiana, Zach Kennedy and his wife Amanda of Centreville, Virginia, Zeb Kennedy and his wife Pam of Durand, Michigan, Scott Tiemeyer and his wife Lisa of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Christopher Tiemeyer and his wife Michelle of Knoxville, Tennessee; thirteen great-grandchildren, Ashley, Nicole, Grace, Nolan, Caitlyn, Lillie, Samual, Lukas, May, Blake, Sidney, Ryan, and Justin; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Ron Tiemeyer; and a sister, Edna Mae Haller.
Mrs. Tiemeyer and her husband lived and farmed in Mendon, Missouri for many years. She also held secretarial positions at Northwestern High School in Mendon, and at Walsworth Publishing Company in Marceline, Missouri. In 2013, she moved from Raymore, Missouri to Stanwood, Michigan to be closer to her family.
