Bernell Eugene Keller, 89 of Queen City passed away Sunday November 27, 2011 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO.

Bernell was born to Theododre "Jack" and Edith (Miller) Keller, on January 12, 1922 in rural Brashear, MO by a country doctor whom arrived by horse and buggy.

Bernell worked hard on the family farm as well as helping neighbors during thrashing season. He attended and graduated from Brashear High School. He joined the military in the Air Corp, becoming a flight engineer and pilot. Upon returning from the service he married Catherine Phillips on November 15, 1945 who remaineded his life-long love. He worked his farm and for many years he had an extensive egg delivery route, being commonly called the "egg man".

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife in 2007, a brother, Basil Keller and a great granddaughter.

Bernell is survived by his daughter, Linda McKenzie, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with nieces, a nephew and a host of friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2 pm Thursday December 1, 2011 at the Dooley Funeral Home with Pastor Sonny Smyser officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Hghland Park Cemetery in Kirksville. Pallbearers will be Julius Cureton, J.C.Brown, Jeremy Frederick, Rusty Rouse, Lynn Creason and Larry Hill. Visitation with the fmaily will be from 1-2 pm Thursday at the Dooley Funeral Home, Queen City, MO. Memorials are suggested to the V.F.W. or the D.A.V.

Catherine Ellen Keller, 83, of Queen City, Missouri passed away Sunday July 22, 2007 at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri.
Catherine was born in Claremont, Illinois to Sidney and Millie Phillips on October 6, 1923. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother and a younger brother, Roy Phillips of Peoria, Illinois.
On November 15, 1945 in Olney, Illinois, she was united in marriage to Bernell E. Keller. He survives of the home. Also surviving is one daughter, Linda McKenzie of Queen City, Missouri, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, onenephew and three nieces.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday July 25, 2007 at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Draper officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Park Cemetery.
