Kirksville Woman In Failing Health for Some Time

Mrs. Frank S. Macklin, 80, of 501 E. Washington St., died Thursday in Kansas City at the home of her son, Harry E. Fiscus. Mrs. Macklin, who had been in failing health for some time, went to Kansas City last fall to spend the winter with her son.

The body will arrive at the First Methodist church in Kirksville at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and funeral services will be held there at two o'clock the same afternoon. The Rev. J.W. Ward Sr., will conduct the services and interment will be in Highland Park cemetery.

Mrs. Macklin, who was the former Villetta [sic] Fowler, previously was married to Robert Fiscus and two sons were born to this marriage. Mr. Fiscus died about 1917 while the family was living in Knox county.

Following her marriage to Mr. Macklin they moved to Kirksville and one son was born to them. Mrs. Macklin was a member of the First Methodist Church of Kirksville and a charter member of the Win-One Sunday School class, serving as recording secretary for years.

Surviving are two sons, Harry E. Fiscus, of Kansas City and George Macklin, of Denton, Tex. In addition to those previously mentioned, she also was preceded in death by Mr. Macklin and a son, Ray Fiscus, who died from injuries received during World War I.
