Dennis Lee McKenzie, 54, Brashear, MO, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2006 at the home of his father and mother-in-law in Schuyler County, MO.
McKenzie was born May 2, 1952 in Los Angeles, CA, to James and Alice McKenzie. He attended school in Chanute, KS, graduating in 1970. He was employed with Consolidated Oil Well Services in Chanute for many years.
In 1997, he and his family moved to Brashear, MO, to be near his wife¹s family and help with the family farm. He also drove over the road the past several years for Fadiga Trucking, Inc., of Centerville, IA.
Other survivors include his mother and stepfather, Alice and Thomas Irving, Webb City, MO; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bernell and Catherine Keller, Queen City, MO; a sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Don McFarland, Carterville, MO; two daughters and a son-in-law, Heather and Brian Irons, Republic, MO, and Amber Baringer, St. Louis, MO; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Jake McKenzie, southern Missouri, Joshua and Mindy Baringer, Kirksville, MO, and Cody Baringer, Brashear, MO; two granddaughters, Bethann Irons, Dalis Bride; three grandsons, Hadon Irons, Austen Baringer, and An'Davantae Bussy; several nieces and nephews; and two special friends since youth, Bruce Kiddoo and David McClaren; and a recent good friend Mel "Cluck-Cluck Chicken Truck" Boone.
He enjoyed working on the farm, taking care of his animals, hunting, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, James McKenzie; an infant brother; and a much-loved nephew, Michael McFarland.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1 at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Chapel with the Rev. Darrell Draper officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Park Cemetery in Kirksville, MO.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30 at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home of Kirksville, MO.

Linda McKenzie 58 of Queen City passed away Friday October 16, 2014 at University Hospital in Columbia, MO.

As the sun rose on September 29, 1956 Linda Jean Keller was born in Kirksville, MO. Linda blessed her parents, Bernell and Catherine Keller.

Linda grew up in rural Queen City, MO on the family farm. She graduated from Schuyler County High School in 1974. After high school, Linda relocated to Chanute, KS where she met the love of her life, Dennis McKenzie. They were married on September 29, 1989 and celebrated 17 years of marriage. During their life together, Linda moved her family back to Queen City to fulfill her passion for the "country Life".

Linda loved her horses, beloved friend, "Kenella", and enjoyed the peaceful sunsets on her farm, along with cherished times with her brown sugar boys.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Amber Bussey(Julius)of Queen City; three sons, Josh Baringer(Mindy)of Kansas City, KS, Cody Baringer, and Rusty Rouse(Heather)of Auvasse, MO; grandchildren, An'Davantae(AJ)and AliJah Bussey, Dalis Bride and Austen Baringer, Austin and Hope Rouse, Heaven and Hailey Lavender, and Renesmae' Baringer; and two special friends, Larry and Raymond.

A memorial service will be held at 10 am Wednesday October 22, 2014 at Dooley Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Broach officiating. Dooley Funeral Home Queen City, Mo Memorials are suggested to the family for medical expenses.
