Wilna Ann Smith, age 57, of Novinger, Mo., died Sunday, February 5, 2006 at her home.
The daughter of Leroy and Dorothy "Dolly" Wand Goehl, she was born in Quincy, Ill., on July 22, 1948. She was united in marriage to Billy "Bill" E. Smith on May 16k 1980 in Unionville, Ia.
She attended and graduated from Lewistown High School in Lewistown in 1960. She attended the Gem City Business College in Quincy, Ill., where she completed on semester of study. She worked t Five and Dime in Quincy and was a waitress in Canton, before she was married. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Kirksville, Mo.
Survivors include her father, Leroy Goehl of Canton, her daughter, Lori Ann Atkinson of Norwalk, Ia.; two grandchildren, Michael and Amanda Atkinson; a sister, Barbara Smith and husband Terry of Cheyenne, Wyo.; a sister-in-law, Nancy Goehl of Lewistown, Mo.; a nephew, Danny Goehl and wife Rachel of LaGrange.
Also surviving are cousin, Marie and Dick Lowrance of Kirksville, Mo.; a niece, Wilma Elsea of Green Castle, Mo.; special friends, Anna Mae Lippert, Teresa Barnes and Lexi Barnes, and friend and handyman Richard Barnes; and many other uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbors and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband; mother; brother, Robert Goehl; brother-in-law, Carl Scott; sister-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Scott; nephew, Jerry Elsea; her favorite pastor, Dwayne Lippert; special friend, Joe Brunk; a special lady who she called grandma, Bonnie Ray; and two special people from her church, Everett and Daisy Davis.
Graveside service was held Tuesday, February 7, 2006, at Highland Park Cemetery with Virgil Jones officiating.
Burial was in Highland Park Cemetery in Kirkville, Mo.
Arrangements were made by Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home.
