Clara L. Durall, 86 of Pittsfield, died Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Liberty Village in Pittsfield. Clara was born on March 1, 1926 in Twin Falls, ID, a daughter of Earl H. and Mary E. Gordon Smith. She married Charles Durall on August 3, 1947 in Edina, Mo and he preceded her in death on September 26, 2004.

Clara graduated from North East Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science and Masters Degree in business education and was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma. She taught high school business education for three years in North East Missouri, eleven years at West Pike School District, four years at East Pike High School and nineteen years at Pittsfield High School.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Pittsfield, United Methodist Women's & Madonna Circle and sang in the Chancel choir. She enjoyed playing the piano, china painting and crafts, tin and copper work.

Clara is survived by a son, William E. and Peggy Durall of Pittsfield and grandchildren, Christina (Richard) Miskho of Seattle, WA and Brian Durall of Springfield, IL; a brother, E.H. (Judy) Smith of Lewistown, MO and a sister, Gertrude A. (Ed) Mahoney of Leonard, MO in addition to several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Marvin Smith.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 13, 2012 at the Pittsfield United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Wilber officiating. A visitation with the family will be held from 9:30 until 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Paultown Cemetery in Brasher, MO.

Memorials are suggested to be made to the Pittsfield United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer's Association. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.nieburfh.com. The Niebur Funeral Home in Pittsfield is handling the arrangements.
