From the Ralls County Herald-Enterprise, 9/22/2001:
Mary Jane Martin, 54, of Center died Thursday, September 15, 2011, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St Louis. Funeral services were at 1:00 pm Tuesday, September 20, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Roger Carter officiated. Private burial was at Barkley Cemetery in New London.
Mrs Martin was born March 22, 1957, in Hannibal to Joseph McCune and Jo Ann Engleman Holman.
She was married to Bob Martin, Jr., on April 13, 1984, in New London. He preceded her in death June 28, 2005.
Survivors include four children, Sylvia "Tink" Spencer, Maria Cafer (Steven Rench), Stephen Martin (Kristian), and Crystal Ruesch (Chris); three brothers, Tom Holman, Greg Holman, and Danny Holman; two sisters: Barbara Mayfield and Leigh Allen; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and a loving friend, Vernon Norfolk.
Mrs Martin was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, John Holman and Jimmy Holman, and a great-nephew.
Mrs Martin previously worked for 20 years at Watlow, then worked as a store manager for Pick-A-Dilly Convenience Store. Mary Jane was a hard worker. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and attending their events and ball games.
