Services for Archie McKay, 61, a former resident of the Oak Ridge community and recently of Blytheville, Ark., who died April 17th in Blytheville, Ark., were held April 17th at John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with the Rev. James F. McCrary officiating. Burial was in No. 8 Cemetery.
He was born March 28th, 1917 in Oak Ridge, the son of the late Albert McKay and Perna Howell. He married the former Minnie Lomax in Steele March 17th, 1965. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife of Blytheville, Ark.; one son, Jerry McKay of Steele; two daughters, Mrs. Brenda Whitfield of Hayti and Mrs. Carol Littrell of Steele; two step-sons, W.C. Inman of Steele and James Inman of Indianapolis, Ind.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Doris Rayburn of Blytheville, Ark.; two half-brothers, Don Howell of Simmesport, La., and Billy Howell of Steele; two half-sisters, Mrs. Naomi Pierce of Rockford, Mich. and Mrs. Nola Samford; and 11 grandchildren.
