Ferman Lee Breakfield of Hopewell, MO., passed away April 15, 1988, at St. Louis University Hospital at the age of 49 years and 13 days. He was born April 3, 1939, in Crawford County MO., a son of Zelma Grace Breakfield Mills.

Ferman was united in marriage to Nola Gale Fann on December 24, 1960, at Potosi, MO., and three daughters were born to this union.

He was a life long resident of Washington County and employed with Cominco Magmont Mines in Bixby, MO.

He was preceded in death by a brother Albert James Mills Jr. Those who remain to mourn his passing are his loving and devoted wife, Gale Breakfield of Hopewell; his mother Zelma Mills of Springtown; three daughters, Tina Conway of Hopewell, and Shirley Breakfield and Karen Breakfield of Hopewell, MO.

Three brothers, John Mills and wife Donna of Mineral Point, Joseph Mills with the US Army in Germany, and Kenneth Brakefield of Grand Rapids, MI. Two sisters, Della Fritz of St. Louis and Evelyn Stockton of Grand Rapids, MI. One grandson, Christopher James Lee Gibson. Other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 19, at the Hopewell Church of God with Rev. Jim Wade and Rev. Phil Wade officiating. Interment was in the Hopewell Cemetery, Hopewell, MO under the direction of Britton Funeral Home, Potosi, MO.

Nola Bathsheba Gale Fann Breakfield of Hopewell, Missouri was born on August 8, 1943 in Potosi, Missouri, a daughter of the late Nolan Edward Fann and the late Edna Bernice (Wilkinson) Fann.
Gale entered into eternal rest on May 4, 2017, at the Parkland Health Center having reached the age of seventy-three years, eight months, and twenty-six days.
Gale, as she liked to be called, was preceded in death by her parents Nolan and Edna Wilkinson Fann and husband Ferman Lee Breakfield. Brother Robert James "Bob" Fann and sister Violet Lillian Fann Wade. Brothers in law James Robert "Rob" Wade and Rev. Philip Chatman Wade. Sister-in-law Della Mills Fritz.
Gale was united in marriage to Ferman Breakfield on December 24, 1960, and three daughters were born.
Survivors include daughters Tina (Chris) Gibson, Shirley (Gabriel) Lorenzo, and Karen Eye. Four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Also mourning her passing are her sisters Eileen Wade, Elvira (Donald) Hinkle, and Elmita (Billy) Gensler. Brothers in law John (Donna) Mills, and Joseph (Shelly) Mills. Other cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial was held on Monday, May 8, 2017, at the new Hopewell Church of God. Interment is at Hopewell Cemetery.
Services were provided by Declue Funeral Home, Potosi, MO.
