Mildred Ann Lacy, 87 of Mtn. Grove, MO passed away on July 12, 2020 at her home. She was born on Nov. 20, 1932 at Sargent, MO the daughter of George and Minnie Hubbell.
Mildred was baptized at an early age in Potter Creek by Rev. Charlie Collins of the Gum Springs Church. She attended Cabool School receiving all her credits needed for graduations at the age of 15. She married Willard Gould and to this union seven children were born, Johnny, Willard Jay, Bill, Wanda (Wendy), Luther (Spud), Roger and Gloria (Cookie). After thirteen years of marriage she grew tired of Willard so she loaded all the children in the car and drove away. Some time later she married John Lacy on Feb. 14, 1968, this marriage lasted until John’s passing on May 9, 2008.
During her lifetime, she had several different occupations but the ones she enjoyed most was a cook and a truck driver. She enjoyed seeing the countryside while driving a semi with her husband, John.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Willard Gould; second husband, John Lacy; an infant son, Willard Jay Gould; an infant granddaughter, Amy Forbes; an infant great great granddaughter, Elizabeth Todd; eight brothers and four sisters, Steve Hubbell, Johnny Hubbell, Celia Kozenecki, Jay Hubbell, Jack Hubbell, Imogene Brown, George Hubbell, Patsy Hendricks, Charles Hubbell, Fay Hubbell, Walter Hubbell and Luther Hubbell. She is survived by six children, Johnny Gould of Mtn. Grove, Bill Lacy and Denise of Melba, ID, Wanda Forbes and Bill of Glasgow, MO, Luther Gould and Bonnie of Cabool, Roger Gould and Deana of Mtn. Grove and Gloria Sterner and John of Mtn. Grove; one sister, Ethelene Sanders of Mtn. Grove; grandchildren, Randy, Cheryl, Billy Joe, Rusty, Misty, Amanda, Robyn, Connie Travis, Jed, Justin and Christy; great grandchildren, Seth Brittany, Breana, Cameron, Cale, Camille, Lillie, Johnny Blake, Callen, Caiden, Levi, Breanna, Damien, Kristin, Faith, Payton, Alex, James, Jonathon, Osprey Imogene and McKenzie; great great grandchildren, Paisley, McKenna, Aubrey, Andrew, Austin and Liam as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for John Calvin Lacy were held Monday, May 12,2008 at the Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Chapel with Greg Thompson officiating. Pallbeareres were Randy Lacy, Rusty Gould, Billy Gould, Justin Forbes, Jared Forbes Travis Forbes and Seth Lacy. Burial was in the Cabool Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool, Missouri.
John Calvin Lacy, 76 passed away on Friday, May 9,2008 at his home. He was born on June 17,1931 at Morehouse, Missouri the son of Daniel M. and Daisy (Roper) Lacy.
John was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two children from his first marriage, Jerry Don Lacy and wife,Virginia, and Patricia Lacy Sellers and husband, Richard of Faxon, Ok.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; present wife, Mildred A Lacy of the home; six step children, Johnny Gould and wife Debbie of Mountain Grove,Mo., Bill Lacy and wife, Denise of Melba, Id., Wanda Forbes and husband John of Fayette, Mo.,Luther Gould and wife Bonnie of Cabool, Mo., Roger Gould and wife Deana of Mountain Grove,Mo. and Gloria Sterner and husband John of Cabool. Mo. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Daniel Lacy and wife Carolyn of Sweet Springs, Mo.; one sister, Ann Hutto of Blytheville, Ar. ; as well as several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
