Carlton A. Wright, 87 of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia died on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Parkridge Hospital. He was born August 14, 1926
in Saint Johnsbury, Vermont. He is the youngest son of Wendell and Hazel Wright. He later moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. He married Dorothy Grandstaff in 1958. He was married to her for over 53 years. She was the love of his life. He worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Albuquerque. He later moved to Savannah, Georgia and worked for over 30 years for the Corps of Engineers in the Construction Division. He won International Barbershop Champions in 1957 with the Lads of Enchantm’nt. He was active in the Barbershop Harmony Society for over 61 years. In 2005 he and his wife moved to Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia to be closer to their daughter. His wife died last year in March 2012. He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Ramona Wright Richard and (Jeff Richard son-n-law) of Rock Spring, GA. The funeral will be in Springfield, Missouri. Arrangements are by Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 East Seminole Street, Springfield, Missouri. The family will receive friends at their house in Rock Spring, Georgia on Tuesday October 1, 2013 from 6pm-8pm. A graveside service will be Friday, October 4, 2013 at 10am in Hazelwood Cemetery with Father Fergus Monaghan.

Dorothy Grandstaff Wright, 87, of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 13, 2012. She lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico and in Savannah, Georgia for over 33 years.
She was married to her husband Carlton A. Wright for over 53 years. Dorothy was active in Washington Family Descendants, Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters of the Confederacy, in Savannah, Georgia.
She is survived by her husband Carlton A. Wright, Rebecca Wright Richard (daughter), Jeff Richard (son-in law), Brandi Richard (step granddaughter), Lisa Clemensen (niece), Abigail Wright (niece), Debbie Wright (niece), John Wright (nephew), Mike Wright (nephew), and Brett Wright (nephew).
The family will receive friends at their daughters house in Rock Spring, Georgia on Friday March 16, 2012 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30pm. The services will be in Springfield, Missouri at Hazelwood Cemetery on Monday March 19, 2012 at 10:00am. Arrangements are by Gorman Scharphf Funeral Home
