Obituary:
Kathleen Marjorie (Beal) Brown, age 29, of Sugar Creek, MO died on 12/31/1972 at the Columbia, MO hospital. She was a lifelong resident, switchboard operator for the Answerette Answering Service. She was a member of St. Cyril's Catholic Church. She graduated from St. Mary's High School. Kathleen was married to James D. Brown on July of 1972, just 5 months before her passing. She had one son, Lee Richard Stevens (1962) and a daughter, Lisa Marie Stevens (1963) with Lee Roy Stevens. She also leaves one daughter, Sherri Lynn Albertson (1964) with Melvin Lorainza Bennett. She was married to Gerald Ray Albertson on 02/03/1964, just before Sherri's birth. Kathleen and Gerald (Jerry) divorced on 02/06/1970. Her parents: Martin and Eileen Beal, of Sugar Creek and one sister, Sylvia Ruth Julian. Kathleen's grandparents were: John and Mary Beal of Czech/Hungary and Ira and Bertha Coy of Missouri. Kathleen had been sick with cancer for some time before her passing. Her favorite color was lavendar, she loved to dance and she could write, paint and draw. Before Lee Stevens Sr passing in 2014, he shared many fond memories of Kathleen and have been recorded in file with Sherri. Kathleen was my mother. I was only 8 yrs old when she passed away but I do have some memories of her. She had a sweet smile, a great laugh and she was beautiful. She is missed by all of those that loved her. She is buried at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Kansas City, MO. Section Ava Maria. Lot 143, Section C space 4 along side with her parents.
