Jack Lee Lyon, 89 of Willow Springs, Missouri, departed this life on Monday, March 13, 2023 at Willow Care Nursing Home. He was born July 5, 1933 in Willow Springs, Missouri, the son of Ross Reynolds and Stella Irene Lyon.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife Donna Jean Lyon.
Jack was a prolific story teller and Bar-B-Que master, crafting his own spice blend. He loved riding horses, fishing, canoeing and black smithing. He retired from Coca-Cola after 28 years of service. After retirement Jack and Donna traveled extensively. He also volunteered at Baptist camps and events at Willow Springs High School cooking. Jack was a 33rd degree Scottish Mason and supported the Shriners for over 50 years. During his retirement he explored varied interests such as graduating from clown school and earning the name "Burnt Bisket". He learned to make custom bits and spurs and enjoyed horseback riding and golfing.
His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends and teaching his grandchildren how to fish, canoe and Bar-B-Que.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 16 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Yarber Mortuary, Willow Springs. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 17, 2023 at Westside Family Life Center in Willow Springs, with Pastor David Lovan officiating. Interment will be in Willow Springs City Cemetery.

Donna Jean Lyon, 87, of Willow Springs, Missouri departed this life on Sunday, September 13, 2020, at Willow Care Nursing Home. She was born January 22, 1933, in Thayer, Missouri, the daughter of John D. and Clora Edith Rensink.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Harold Wells and Jay D. Rensink.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Lee Lyon of Willow Springs; two daughters, Jean Harris and spouse, Randy, of Plano, TX and Becky Long and spouse, John, of Celina, TX; two sons, Jeffrey Lyon and spouse, Karen, of Charlotte, NC and Jon Lyon and spouse, Brenda, of Coppell, TX; one sister, Peggy Ann Miller of Willow Springs, MO; six grandchildren, Michelle Webb and spouse Jacob, Michael Jonker and spouse Heidi, Katie Mooneyham and spouse David, John Trey Long, Nicole Lyon, Allison Jordan and spouse Seth; and five great grandchildren.
Donna was a 1951 graduate of the West Plains School District.
Donna Rensink married her high school sweetheart Jack Lyon in 1952. The ceremony was performed by Donna’s father, John D. Rensink at his home in Emporia, KS.
Donna was very artistic. She enjoyed painting, decorating cakes, and calligraphy. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Willow Springs and loved singing in the choir. She was a dedicated member of the Willow Springs Study Club. She had a keen sense of humor and took great delight in sharing witty jokes.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 17, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Yarber Mortuary, Willow Springs. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 18, 2020, at First Baptist Church in Willow Springs, with Pastor David Cox officiating. Interment will be in Willow Springs City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Willow Springs Scholarship Club, P.O. Box 484, Willow Springs, MO 65793.
