Sanford Sam Hodges, 89, of Birch Tree was born Jan, 16, 1916, and passed away Aug. 14, 2005.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Burton and husband, Nat; and Donna Hamlett; four sons, Hubert Samuel Hodges and wife, Joann; Harry Neal Hodges and wife, Sharron; Roy Hodges and wife, Marie; and Jimmy Hodges and wife, Angie; one sister, Robbie Ford; 2 brothers, Neal Hodges and Harry Hodges; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Hodges; his parents, Samuel Scott and Minnie Eunice (Alvan) Hodges; two sons, Lester and Randy; two sisters, Viva and Lucille; and 1 brother, Roy Hodges.
Funeral services were Aug. 20 in the Clary Chapel in Alton, MO, with Bro. Darrell Strain officiating. Interment following in the Howell Memorial Cemetery in West Plains. Arrangements were under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home in Alton, MO.
