They were married for 71 years at the time of his passing on December 16, 2017. Betty and Joe were life-long residents of Willow Springs and devoted their life to their children, grandchildren and the community. They were active in the Republican party, members of the Willow Springs Baptist Church, and in later years enjoyed camping in their RV. Betty loved her working years at Ferguson Drug, Hannah's Dress Shoppe in Willow Springs, and being a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Betty had a passion for many things, but she was most passionate about being a wife, mother and grandmother. She suffered a debilitating stroke in April of 2000. She was and will continue to be an inspiration to all of us for maintaining a positive attitude and living life to the best of her ability.
