Jessie Lee Owen, 86, of Pineville, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at the Grove Nursing Center in Grove, Okla. He was born Oct. 24, 1931, in Noel, Mo., to the late Lonnie E. and Pearley Minnie (Carr) Owen.
He enjoyed gardening, playing dominoes, planting flowers and feeding the birds. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and served during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents' wives, Virginia and Audell; siblings, Floyd Owen, Lillie Roundtree, David Owen, Nadine Cupp and Leon Owen.
Survivors include a brother, Carl Owen of Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Susan Schell and Lorine Allen; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, at the Brush Creek Cemetery in Noel with full military honors.
Funeral services are under the personal care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Mo.
