PINEVILLE, Mo. -- Walter L. Wood, 80, of Pineville died Nov. 3, 2008, at his home. He was born Oct. 23, 1928, in Gravette to Walter William and Martha Bell Ward Wood.
He was an Army veteran. He worked for Bella Vista Property Owners Association, retiring in 1992. He was a Baptist, and enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Mae Wood, on November 9, 2001; four grandsons, Danny Radford, Robert Wood, Doug Marion and Christopher Marion.
Survivors include three sons, Daniel Radford of California, Walter Wood and wife Velma of Pineville and Larry Wood and wife Carla of Pineville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services with military honors will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Jane (Mo.) Cemetery. Jamie Cope will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Mo.
