LINN (Special_ -- James P. Shockley, 77, a life-long resident of the Linn viinity, died Friday a St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City after a week's illness.

Mr. Shockley, a retired farmer and stock raiser, was born March 26, 1884 near Linn, the son of John R. and Zilla Clark Shockley.

He was married Oct. 1, 1907 to Miss Evelyn Mary Lambeth who died last February.

Survivors include five daughters, 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The daughters are: Mrs. T.O. Gilbert, Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Cecil Loughlin, Eugene, Mrs. Percy Mahon, Kansas City, Kan., Mrs. Ernest Dull, Kansas City, Kan., Mrs. George A Stewart, Littleton, Colo.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at St. John's Methodist Church in Linn with the Rev. Robert Mardt officiating. Burial will be in Linn Memorial Park Cemetery.

LINN (Special) __ Mrs. Mary Evelyn Shockley, Linn, died Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital, Jefferson City.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at St. John's Methodist Church, Linn, with the Rev. Robert Mordt officiating. Burial will be in Linn Memorial Park.

Borm Oct. 7, 1882 to Mr. and Mars. John Lambeth, she is survived by her husband, J.P. Shockley; five daughters, Mrs. T.O. Gilbert, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Cecil Laughlin, Linn; Mrs. Percy Mahon, Kansas City, Kan.; Mrs. Ernest Dill, Kansas City, Kan.; and Mrs. George Stewart, Littleton, Colo.; two brothers, Moody Lambeth, Granite City, Ill.; and Jesse Lambeth, Independence; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
