Luther Gann, Jr., 95 of Holden, Missouri passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014 in Warrensburg.
Luther was born November 26, 1918 in St. Joseph, MO. to Luther Gann, Sr. and Beulah May (Koch) Gann.
The family moved to the Holden area when he was a small child. Luther grew up around the Holden area on several different farms, attended several country schools and Holden High School.
Luther joined the army in July, 1940 and served in the European theater where he earned 3 bronze stars. He returned to Holden in November 1945 where he met and married Ermie Hancock on September 11, 1946.
He earned his living as a dairy farmer and foundry worker at Stahl Specialty Co. in Kingsville, MO. He retired in 1983. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and his grandchildren. He was a member of the Holden Community of Christ Church.
Luther was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers: Kenneth, George, Joseph, and James; 2 sisters: Martha and Mary; and his wife, Ermie, of 55 years.
