Dortha A. Hancock 57. Holden died Jan 3 1991 in a nursing home here. She was born in Clinton Mo and lived in Blairstown Mo before moving to Holden in 1955. Mrs. Hancock was a cook at Holden Manor Care Center for 10 yrs. She was a order clerk for Sears and Roebuck and Co. in Kansas City from 1952-1955. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Auxiliary in Holden. Survivors include her husband Lawrence Hancock of the home; 2 daughters Janet Puckett, Grain Valley in Jackson Co. and Gail Forsie, Centerview Mo. 3 brothers Kenneth Archer of Emerald Isle, NC. Richard and James Archer of Independence Mo and a sister Ruth Ann Beckley Independence Mo. 3 grandchildren. Graveside service will be at 11:00am Saturday at the Holden Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-8:30pm today at the Ben Cast and son-Wood Chapel Holden. The family suggest contributions to the American Cancer Society
