Leo J. Patton, 101, of Jenkins, passed away Monday, at Oak Pointe of Monett in Monett.
He was the son of Roy and Harriett (Cochran) Patton. On May 29, 1939, he was united in marriage to Noveta Doty, who preceded him in death on Oct. 31, 1997. Also preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, J.W. Patton, and two sisters, Evelyn Reed and Olive Hatfield.
Survivors include: one son of Greensboro, N.C.; one brother of Monett; two grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.
He received his education at Cross Hollows one room school. For a few years, he was employed at Boeing Air Craft. Most of his life he was an inspector for Frisco Railroad and he also farmed.
Graveside services were held Thursday, Aug. 30, at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Cassville under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Doyle Russell conducted the services.
