Ave. was found dead Wednesday at
his home.
Mr. Johnson was born Jan. 28, 1916 in the Redings Mill community, south of Joplin.
He was a life long area resident. He was a licensed cosmetologist. He had been owner of a beauty shop on 20th Street in Joplin. He then worked as a hairdresser in the beauty salons of Macy's and Newmanns department stores both formerly of Joplin, He later owned Duchess Beauty Salon at the Frisco Building. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He in the Army during World War 11. His wife, Florence Butler Johnson died Aug. 9, 1989.
Survivors include two brothers, Otis Johnson. Joplin Route 4 and Porter Johnson, Duenweg.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Jackson Cemetery South of Joplin. David Smith minister will officiate. Members of the Robert S Thurman Post No. 13, American
Legion will conduct a graveside flag-folding ceremony.
The family receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at Parker Mortuary.
