Upon expecting the birth of their 6th child, they were blessed with triplets: Bessie, Jessie and Lessie. Delivered by "Aunt" Mariah Carver, a local legend for her skills as a Nurse and Midwife, and mother of George Washington Carver, a Great American, scientist, botanist, educator, and inventor.
