Services for Mrs. Emma J. Evans, 83, Fairview, who died at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at her home after suffering an apparent heart attack, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Barwick Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
The Rev. George Lasswell will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of the McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton.
Born July 6, 1888, at Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Evans was married to Leonard Evans March 17, 1949.
She was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church, near Pierce City.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are four daughters Mrs. Evangeline Shepherd and Mrs. Genevieve Haskins, both Pierce City; Mrs. Katherine Shepherd, Sarcoxie, and Mrs. Geraldine Tracy, Springfield; two stepsons Wayne Evans, Springfield, Ohio, and Alvin Evans, Anderson; three stepdaughters Mrs. Lorene Shearers, Rocky Comfort; Mrs. Ellen Daughterty, Neosho, and Mrs. Sarah Belle Cooper, Joplin; 10 grandchildren, 11 stepgrandchildren, 13 great-stepgrandchildren.
