MRS. CATHERINE CLAD DIES AT WARDSVILLE

Member of Pioneer Family of Westphalia

Mrs. Catherine Clad, 79, died at her home after a long illness of complications.

Mrs. Clad who had been a resident of that neighborhood for many years was in her time prominent in the affairs of the St. Stanislaus Church at Wardsville being affiliated with the ladies society for years.

She was born in Westphalia, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Oldelehr, pioneers of Osage county.

Her husband, John Clad died 23 years ago and she continued to manage the farm with the assistance of her two sons.

The surviving children are Mrs. Louis Opel of this city, Miss Frances Clad of Los Angeles, Calif., Miss Anna of Kansas City, Peter and Joseph of the home place and William Clad of Loose Creek.

One brother Will Oldelehr of Aurora and one sister, Mrs. John Huhn of Westphalia also survive.
