Mr. Norman Clark Rataczak, 85, of Anderson, Missouri passed away at his home with his loving family by his side on Thursday, May 23, 2013.
Norman entered this life on September 13, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Edward and Clifford (Clark) Rataczak. His family moved to Anderson in 1932 and he graduated from the Anderson High School, following graduation he joined the United States Navy and served in the Marines. When he was discharged from the service he went to work for the United Nations, shipping horses and cattle to Europe. He attended college at Joplin and Columbia, Missouri he met his first wife, Gretchen in College, they were married in 1949 and to this union four children were born. She preceded him in death on May 22, 1994. He worked for Swift and Chemical Technical Products as a supervisor in Hammond, Indiana and Southland Corp Chemical Plant in Chicago, Illinois. He returned to Anderson in 1989. He married Helen Lucille Graham on January 3, 1995 in Miami, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gretchen; wife, Helen on May 22, 2013; a brother, Edward Rataczak, Jr.
Norman is survived by a daughter, Dixie Lee Carrier and husband, Tom of Strongsville, Ohio; his four sons, Robert Rataczak and wife, Cindy of Highland, Indiana, William Rataczak of Pineville, Missouri, Richard Rataczak and wife, Rose Ann of Pineville, Missouri; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; along with a host of other family and friends who will dearly miss Norman.
Funeral services for Norman will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes. Burial will follow the service at the Anderson Cemetery in Anderson, Missouri. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home.
