ANDERSON, Mo. — Nancy Louise Mahurin, 79, of Anderson died April 8, 2007, at Anderson. She was born April 28, 1927, in Anderson to Mose and Mattie Mae Harris Gideon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Mahurin, on Nov. 12, 1998. She farmed with her husband east of Anderson and was a talented seamstress. She was a charter member of the Tracy Community Church and served on its board of trustees since 1998.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Lynne Mahurin of Anderson; one son, Harold Dean Mahurin of Anderson; seven siblings, Lola Mae Myers, Donnie Gideon, Clifford Gideon, all of Anderson, Arthur Gideon of Joplin, Mo., Oddie Gideon of Stella, Mo., Kennith Gideon of Anderson and Joyce Kern of Anderson.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Tracy Cemetery in Anderson with Jack Austin and Rob Walker officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Carrol Myers, Keith Gideon, Gary Carter, Jamie Gideon, Norman Dale Gideon, Rick Strong, Steve Wilson and Ty Kern.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Walker-Dowd Funeral Home in Anderson, online at walker-dowd.com. The family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Tracy Cemetery Fund, c/o the funeral home.
