Jewell Ellen (Standlee) Wilson, age 90, of Golden, Missouri, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2008, in Cedar Ridge Care Center, Cassville, Missouri.
She was born October 2, 1917, in Grandview, Arkansas, the daughter of Jim Frank and Florence (Ramey) Standlee. In September 1941, she was united in marriage to Eddie Wilson who preceded her in death in 1986. She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and a sister.
She is survived by one brother, Leon Standlee of Tulsa, Oklahoma and a sister, Rosemary Curry of Eagle Rock, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Bernice Standlee and Juanita Standlee both of Golden; nieces; nephews and friends.
Jewell received her education in Golden and graduated from Cassville High School in 1932. She attended two years of Business College in Chillicothe and then worked as secretary for the San Francisco Wells Fargo Bank Real Estate Department. In 1952 she moved to their farm near Golden and continued living alone after the death of her husband in 1986 until January of this year. Jewell was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Golden.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 18, 2008, in First Southern Baptist Church, Golden, Missouri under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville, Missouri. Pastor Woody Fletcher will conduct the services. Burial will be in McGuire Cemetery, Viola, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 8:30 A.M. until service time Tuesday in First Southern Baptist Church, Golden.
