Juanita L. Standlee, age 94, of Clinton, Missouri, formerly of Golden, passed away Friday, June 21, 2019 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.
She was born on January 30, 1925 in Viola, Missouri, the daughter of Charlie and Vera (Roush) Allen. In 1947 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Standlee, who preceded her in death on May 22, 1977. Also preceding her in death were her parents, Charlie and Vera; one brother, Hollis Allen; one sister, Berniece Standlee and one brother-in-law, Porter Pettigrew.
Surviving are one daughter, Linda Settles and her husband Charles of Clinton, Missouri; two sons, Robby Thomason and his wife Kimberly of Clinton, Missouri and Rick Thomason and his wife Tracey of Golden, Missouri; one brother, Wallace Allen and his wife Arleta of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; one sister, Eula Mae Pettigrew of Fort Smith, Arkansas; three grandsons, Trevor, Tyler and Xander and a lifetime of family and friends.
Juanita grew up and received her education in Viola. For many years she was involved with the after-school program at Golden Baptist Church. Some of the things she enjoyed the most was being outdoors and shopping with her sister, especially the thrift stores. In 1960 she was baptized and was a member of Golden Baptist Church in Golden.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at McGuire Cemetery in Viola, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Dale Merideth will conduct the service.
